Northwest Fire 6 High Lane B 0
Half Time 3-0
Scorers: Knott(3), Murgatroyd, Bridge, Thiele

Despite the scoreline Northwest Fire were made to battle for this win.

A scrappy first half came to life midway through, when some good build up play saw the ball played wide to Mike Thiele who delivered a perfect cross for Lee Knott to head home.

The Fire then created a few chances but failed to add to their tally and High Lane B came more into the match.

As High Lane B started to get on top the Fire defence held firm although it took a superb stop by Chris Dean to stop the visitors equalising.

The save proved to be a critical turning point as within 5 minutes Fire had sewn up the game. First Lee Knott set up Paul Murgatroyd and then Lee grabbed his second to make it 3-0 at half time.

The second half saw The Fire continue to dominate and they added a fourth through Mike Bridge and then Lee Knott completed his hat-trick.

Lee Knott slammed in his second successive league hat-trick

High Lane B refused to lie down though and enjoyed a good 15 minutes of pressure before the Fire cruelly added a sixth with Mike Thiele finishing a good move.

Still High Lane B took the fight to the Fire, and Chris Dean had to pull of another great save. 2 late misses by the High Lane B strikers ensured that there was to be no late comeback.
