Northwest Fire 6 High Lane B 5
Half Time 1-3
Scorers: Sutcliffe, Dolan, Barnes(2), Knott, Brooks

The first half was a scrappy affair with both sides struggling to retain possession. The Fire had a strong line up for this match but a lot of players looked rusty and the side lacked cohesion. As the match wore on High Lane began to get on top as they were allowed space and time to pass the ball and halfway through the half they took the lead with a long range shot.
The Fire soon equalised with a scrappy goal. With several people in the 6 yard box the ball was finally turned over the line by Adam Sutcliffe.
Rather than being rejuvenated by the equaliser it was a lacklustre Fire that then conceded 2 more goals and they were relieved to hear the half time whistle.

The game started fairly evenly in the second but The Fire gradually took control. For 15 minutes they had Heald Green pegged back in their half and goals from Lee Knott, Joe Brooks and Marc Dolan, with his first ever for the club, secured the points. It might even have been 5-1 but Luke Fleming was unlucky to see his effort come back of the post.

Barnesy's brace helped turn the match

With the Fire in control complacency set in and possesion given away too easily led to High Lane scoring an equaliser.
The Fire though had the bit between their teeth going ahead once more through Dave Barnes's 2nd of the match. Again though they squandered the lead and it took a 6th goal, this time from Joe Brooks, to secure the points.
