Northwest Fire v Wilmslow Albion
ECSFL League Match Game 1

First Half:

The Fire started brightly and although Wilmslow were passing the ball around better both sides had equal opportunities to score. After getting caught offside a few times early on Kieron Ryan finally sprung the offside trap and latched on to a pass from Brian Mullens before coolly slotting home to give the Fire the lead. The lead remained intact until a poor refereeing decision gave Wilmslow a penalty despite the ball hitting Tom Riley in the chest not the arm. The penalty was dispatched and the score levelled at 1-1.Barely a minute later and the Fire had a penalty for themselves when a more clear cut handball was spotted in the Wilmslow box. Despite a considerable delay Mike Bridge kept his composure and struck a clinical penalty to give the Fire the lead going into the half time break.
Half Time 2-1

Second Half:

The Fire fell apart after conceding two quick goals. Wilmslow quickly got on top and seemed to find extra space in which to pass and they ruthlessly tore the Fire apart. Further goals came with the Fire penned in their own half as Wilmslow ran out comfortable winners.
Full Time 2-6
