Bulls Head v Northwest Fire
ECSFL League Match Game 9

First Half:

The Fire started brightly and penned their opponents in their own half. After enjoying lots of possession the Fire took the lead when Mike Bridge curled in a superb cross for John-Paul Case to head home his first goal for the club. The Fire continued to dominate but lacked the composure to add a second and squandered several openings.
Half Time 1-0
Second Half:

The second half saw Bulls Head reduced to 10 men through an injury but it seemed like the 10 men raised their games and it was a much more even contest. The Fire defence looked comfortable but disaster struck when goalkeeper Callum Grant failed to hold onto a well struck free kick and in the ensuing melee the referee adjudged the ball to have crossed the line although players from both side acknowledged, after the match, that it hadn't. Bulls Head were buoyed by their good fortune and should have taken the lead minutes later after a good cross evaded the defence leaving 2 Bulls Head players clean through but a hurried shot was blazed over. Both teams threatened to snatch the win but Bulls Head came closest with Callum Grant making a good save from a free kick.

Full Time 1-1
