| The Fire returned to league action and it was a familiar story as they once again lost a match that they dominated. After a bright start during which Lee Knott hit the bar the Fire fell behind to a free kick which was curled into the top corner. Despite the Fire dominating the rest of the first half they were unable to get the equaliser with a goal being disallowed for off side. |

The second half saw the Fire dominate possession but clear cut chances were few. The home keeper was only called upon occasionally to make saves with Joe Shambare and Dan Moss seeing free kicks tipped over the top. A glorious chance
did however fall to defender Simon Hallows minutes from the end but he
managed to lift the ball over the top with the goal at his mercy. |
