| The Fire were looking to get their faltering league campaign backk on track but came unstuck against High Lane. The first half was a fairly even affair but it was the home side who took the lead when a High Lane forward got loose to rifle a shot past Rob Nolan in the Fire goal. The Fire were soon level though when a long kick from Rob Nolan was chipped home by Lee Knott. The match then reached its pivotal point as the Fire had a great chance to take the lead when Matt Jones broke free but sent his shot wide and wwithin a minute High Lane scored with a headed goal. High Lane added a third before half time when a softly hit shot from the edge of the area took 2 deflections to lave Rob Nolan helpless. |

The 2nd half saw the Fire throw everything at High Lane but never really looking like scoring and Hig Lane secured te win with a late goal from a long range free kick which deceived Danny Grimshaw who had gone in net late on after suffering from tiredness. |
